Stress

Today's topic is going to be a bit more deep than usual because I am going to be discussing about stress which is a very common problem in many people. I am also having a bit of stress nowadays in coping with all the exams and school work to cover. Although, I am not able to complete all my work in one day, now I realise that it is completely normal for everyone. Because at the end of the day, we're human and everyone deserves a break. Don't you think?

Cake!!

Image
Cake is one of my favorite desserts to have after an exhausting day. Although cake may seem like a simple dessert, there are many interesting facts about this addictive dessert. For example, the start of the use of the term birthday cake was in 1785 and the first versions of cake has a more bread like to taste and looked like hard compact discs. Interesting, huh? But to be honest, I prefer the more recent version of cakes, but other people may have their own opinions.

Mysterious cloud!!

Image
For me, this cloud looks like a giant tornado forming in the sky. In my entire life, I have never seen such a mysterious and scary cloud. Luckily, a tornado was not formed, but if it had...then everything would have been completely catastrophic. This picture reminds me to always look at the big and little things in life and be thankful for them because as I was saying earlier, it would've been horrible if there was an actual tornado occurred at that moment. And just look at how beautiful this picture is! It looks like some shiny blue mist is coming out of the middle of the cloud. Thank you Mother Nature for giving me the marvelous opportunity to look at this beautiful landscape.

Tulsi plant!!

Image
The Tulsi is considered a holy plant in Hindu mythology because of its connection with Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. It is also said that this is a form of Tulasi, an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu. Tulsi also has connection with Vishnu because He (in form of Shaligram) married Tulasi in her plant form in her next life. It is said that this plant is a must in the household of those who want to live a prosperous and peaceful life. A holy prayer says that the Tulsi plant has Lord Brahma in its branches, the Vedas (sacred Hindu scripture) in its lower branches, all of the other gods and goddesses in its stem and the river Ganga running through its roots along with the center of all Hindu pilgrimage. And according to ancient scripts, the Tulsi is thought of as a gateway between heaven and earth.

Cloud!

Image
This pretty cloud adds such an aesthetic vibe to the picture doesn't it? This is precisely why I love fluffy clouds. They can make any picture look pretty and aesthetic. Clouds stay white until they are like a thin layer. The moment a cloud becomes thick, it turns into a gray color as light is not able to pass through a thick cloud as nicely as it can pass through a thin cloud. Fun fact- Clouds can last for only 4-6 hours. But, some groups of clouds have been in observed to last for more than 14 hours and travels long distances before they evaporate. Before this, I didn't even know that a cute cloud could have such an interesting background. Did you?

High Temperatures!!

Image
It feels so relaxing to look at a beautiful sunset after a hot day, no? And we can enjoy this relaxing sunset even more because during sunset, the temperatures go down and we can go outside without the fear of getting broiled by the heat.

Buddha Purnima!

Image
Today is the auspicious day of Buddha Purnima! Buddha Purnima is celebrated every year in the month of April/May on a full moon day to mark the birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha. Gautam Buddha (Siddharth Gautam) was a great monk born to King Suddhodana and his wife Maya. Before Buddha entered this world, many sages predicted that he would grow up to become a great monk or a great ruler. In the fear that Buddha would become a monk and leave home, King Suddhodana never allowed his son to go outside the palace until he was 29 years old! As soon as he was allowed to leave the palace, Gautam Buddha saw four things- a dead body, a sick person, an old man and a sage. By seeing the sage, he got inspired to find the main cause of sadness in human life. Sometime after this, he left the palace to achieve enlightenment. He meditated under a Bodhi tree for 49 weeks when he finally got enlightenment at 35 years of age. He left this world 45 years after, at the age of 80.
