Importance Of Cows In Hindu Mythology

Cows are a very important animal in Hinduism. They are so important that they are even worshipped. This information might come out as a bit strange at first, but the reasons for the importance of this animal will slowly become clear as you further read the blog. 
In Hinduism, the cow is a manifestation of the goddess Gau Mata. The cow is seen as a sacred animal as it provides milk which is important for life. Often, the milk produced by the cow is even offered to Hindu dieties in temples and is used to make prasadam. 
This animal is also a representation of Mother Earth due to its milk which provides nourishment to all creatures and a source of goodness. 
These reasons mentioned above are a few of the reasons why the cow is important in Hinduism. In conclusion, this animal is a very revered animal in Hindu religion.
