Holi!

Holi is a Hindu festival that marks the arrival of spring. This festival has also acquired many names such as 'Festival of Colors', 'Festival of Love' and 'Festival of Spring'. Holi celebrates the divine perpetual love of Radha and Krishna. According to Hindu mythology, Radha and Krishna were the incarnations of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu respectively. Although most people believe that Holi is celebrated for the burning of the demon Hiranyakashipu's sister Holika, there is also a story stating that Holi was started by RadhaKrishna and here's how the story goes.
As a baby, Lord Krishna had once drank the poisonous milk of the demonness Putna due to which the color of His skin was a very dark blue. Lord Krishna was afraid that the gopis and Radha wouldn't like Him because of His dark skin. Krishna's foster mother, Yashoda, saw how stressed Krishna looked and told Him to put his favourite color on Radha. Krishna followed Yashoda's advice. This action of His ignited the beautiful love of Radhakrishna and started the playing of Holi as it is known today.
