Procrastination

Everyone fights different battles in their life. But the battle I think almost everyone has fought in is the war against procrastination.
Procrastination may be defined as a self-defeating behaviour (behaviours distracting you from your main life goals) that involves the unnecessarily delaying tasks until the last minute or after their deadline.
We all go through procrastination. It is completely normal. It is also almost impossible for people to be motivated to complete all their tasks with full efficiency. But procrastination is never rewarding and it does indeed cause negative effects further on in life if we do not let go of the habit.
So, how do we get over procrastination?
See, different things work for different people. But there are a few tips that I think are some of the most useful to get over procrastination:
1. Remember Your Goals: We often don't feel motivated to work on those tasks that we think may not have an effect on our life in the future. If a task won't ever benefit us help us in the future, then why should we do it? Well, that is why when you feel like you do not want to do do a certain assignment, remember your goals regarding that work. Remembering your goals may help you gather back your motivation.

2. Don't Multitask: Although multitasking may seem like the most rational thing to do when you are burdened with life's infinite jobs, think again. It may make you feel overworked and tired and lower your work efficiency. Instead try to focus on a single task at a time.

3. Take Breaks: Although working for long hours without any breaks may seem the most appealing way to complete pending tasks, working for shorter times with breaks in between will lower the monotony of consistent working and it will keep you feeling mentally refreshed.

But of course, these tips may not work for everyone and that's okay because everyone is different. What may work for some, may not work for others.
But of course, do remember that if you feel like you actually can't work, then don't. Don't push yourself very hard. Just push yourself to your best. And if you want to stop and rest, just rest. But don't procrastinate, even if it feels good at the moment because:
