Misunderstanding: Finding Your Own Sun In A Snowstorm
Imagine the world was kind and peaceful. Where there was no stress and every day was like walking through a spring flower garden in suburban Italy. Everywhere you went, you were met with smiles. Imagine a place where there were no wars, and everyones' emotions were validated. I was thinking about this while staring at the gusty and cloudy weather through my bedroom window. Why can't the world be like this? Why do people have to go through so much pain and stress in their daily lives?
It's a complex question with a medley of different answers. It took a few minutes to get a satisfactory answer: it is because people are misunderstood. This again got me questioning as to why people are misunderstood. Now that was something more complex. It took more time to answer than the previous question, but eventually I reached an answer that made sense.
On exploring new things and ventures, people crave for a sense of reassurance and validation. Especially from their loved ones. But when this does not happen, they feel isolated and secluded. Due to this, they think that they are misunderstood. It feels terrible. Feeling out of place is something no one deserves to go through. Everyone has their own place in this world of 8 billion people. And this is not reassurance. It's an ideal. If you ever feel that you are alone, then you are not in the right place.
It is understandable that you may not want to. You feel guilty and unsure of your actions. You feel worried about what others are going to say. Let me get you in on one thing. Once you find your true happiness and calling (wherever it may be), then everyone will respect you for being brave enough to take a decision that not many can take.
So, if you feel like you are misunderstood, first of all, I would like to apologize for the pain you have been through. You are special. Everyone should see that. If they don't, then that's their loss. Second, take the big step. Get out of that toxic environment, whether it's your job, your friendship or anything else. Don't worry about what other people will say. Your life is not their business. No one should control your happiness. Seize your dreams and get ready to find your sense of belonging! Go! Find a place where you are elated and included. Let the sun of your hardships sink into the horizon and watch your life blossom! Don't delay! Your happiness awaits.
