Solar eclipse

A solar eclipse is when the Moon comes in between the Sun and the Earth and blocks the Earth's clear view of the Sun. The last solar eclipse was on 25 October, 2022 (i.e. yesterday). Two to five solar eclipses occurs every year and the Earth experiences about 66 solar eclipses in a century on average. Total solar eclipses occurs when the Moon completely blocks the Earth's view of the Sun and it occurs only once every 18 months or so. Although solar eclipses are definitely something worth watching, it can damage your eyesight if you look at it with your naked eye. Hence, it is very important to wear protective eyewear while watching a solar eclipse.

Exam Marks

Nowadays, students are focusing on their marks and making it their top priority as good grades helps a person to get a job. And everyone automatically thinks that if a student gets good grades, then it means that they are a good student. And everyone gets really stressed if they don't get good grades and they let exam anxiety take over their mental health. Being a student in this hectic time, I agree that grades are important but it is not as important as one's own health. If you don't get good grades, do not plunge down into the dark abyss of self regret but instead promise yourself that you will work hard and do better next time. Don't let a piece of paper come between school and your mental health. Because at the end of the day, you are more important than a few numbers. The future can change at your will, not the marks.

Overpopulation

Overpopulation is when human population becomes too large to be sustained by its environment and it's resources are in danger of  being finished. Overpopulation is one of the biggest problems in India today because it has less land area compared to other countries and it is one of the most populated country in the world. Some causes of overpopulation are falling mortality rate, increase in conflicts, migration etc.  Because of the population increasing at such a rapid rate, global warming will increase and there will be an overuse of resources like land, water, fossil fuels etc.

Unemployment

Currently, unemployment is one of the biggest social issues in the world. When people from the age of 15 to 59 are willing to work at growing wages but aren't able to find jobs, it is known as unemployment. Unemployment is a very big social issue because without a job, people are not able to get money to get even the most required necessities for living a good life. With unemployment, people are not even able to get food and have to adjust to harsh conditions. Although there are public and private sector industries who have created jobs, it still hasn't been able to solve the problem as there are numerous people who want jobs. Unemployment is quite common among places that have a large population, which brings the country down. It also leads to poverty, which is another huge social issue in the world right now, but that will be a talk for another time.

Because of this, the asuras  emerged victorious in the battle between the devtas and the asuras and had taken over the Svarg Lok . Not knowing what to do, the devtas went to Lord Vishnu for advice on how to tackle the situation and He told the devtas that only the nectar that is present at the bottom of the Ksheer Sagar (ocean of milk) can help them regain their strength and reverse the curse of Rishi Durvasa, but for this, the...

Dusshera!

Dusshera is a Hindu festival which is celebrated in the beginning of winter on the tenth and last day of Navratri. It is one of the biggest examples of when good won over evil and it is celebrated as it is the day that Lord Ram killed Ravana. There is an interesting and popular story behind the celebration of Dusshera.  Lord Ram, his wife, Sita and his younger brother Lakshman had almost completed their 14 years of exile from Ayodhya and it was the last year of their exile at the time. The demon Ravana, king of the golden City of Lanka, was very attracted to Sita and he devised a plan to kidnap her. He told an asura who could shapeshift to go to Sita in the form of a golden deer. Seeing the golden deer, Sita immediately wanted it and asked Lord Ram to catch it for her. Ram followed it into the forest, but on learning that it was an asura, he was about to kill it when suddenly the asura called for help in Ram's voice. Hearing it, Lakshman immediately went to save him but he first ma...

Climate change!!

Climate change is one of the biggest social issues in the world that is haunting the earth and its residents i.e. humans, animals and plants. Due to climate change, there has been a rise is temperature of oceans and seas which has led to the melting of the polar ice caps. These polar ice caps provide coolness to the Earth and balances its hot temperatures. Due to the melting of the polar ice caps, the Earth's temperatures and its sea levels have been rising annually. Because of the rising of the Earth's temperatures, there has been an occurrence of larger, bigger and more disastrous storms and natural disasters.  The rising in the temperature of ocean water does not seem really important at first, but it is something that deserves our attention.
