Take a Break

Image
In the big busy world of today, every one is drowned in their daily tasks. We are working day and night to complete our work and it is in this rush of completion, that we often forget to do one vital thing. That is, to take a break. We often keep running after efficiency in our respective workplaces to achieve the success we all desire, but that efficiency will only come once you take rest. But, now, all of our hands feel tied by society's unruly expectation for people to work non-stop to reach the goal of fame and fortune. To try to reach those expectations of fame and prosperity, we work so hard that we burn our capacity to keep working. And once we finally take a break, our mind is constantly bombarded with the thought of our incomplete jobs. We begin to ponder whether we should have even relaxed in the first place. We start to mentally feel down and think about other successful people who seem to never stop working and try to follow their way of work to get the prosperity we de...

Self- Love

Image
There are currently about 8 billion people living on Earth and every single one of these people deserve love. Whether it's the love of a friend, a parent, a pet or anyone else, that warm snuggly feeling of being adored.  But then the reality of life comes along. And this is when we start wondering if we even matter. We often ask ourselves if anyone cares about us. This leads us to the sad thought that no one cares about us and we try to change ourselves to feel cherished. We try to change our 'flaws' to appear 'perfect' and 'ideal' so that we can be surrounded by friends and people who think that we are delightful.  Well, these people like your fake personality. They don't care about your real self. You may be thinking that this is a little cost to pay but imagine the real danger of this situation. You have successfully surrounded yourself by people who do not love the real you. Imagine a day where your real self is revealed. All of these peo...

Procrastination

Everyone fights different battles in their life. But the battle I think almost everyone has fought in is the war against procrastination.  Procrastination may be defined as a self-defeating behaviour (behaviours distracting you from your main life goals) that involves the unnecessarily delaying tasks until the last minute or after their deadline. We all go through procrastination. It is completely normal. It is also almost impossible for people to be motivated to complete all their tasks with full efficiency. But procrastination is never rewarding and it does indeed cause negative effects further on in life if we do not let go of the habit. So, how do we get over procrastination? See, different things work for different people. But there are a few tips that I think are some of the most useful to get over procrastination: 1. Remember Your Goals: We often don't feel motivated to work on those tasks that we think may not have an effect on our life in the future. If a task won't ev...

Oh, How Time Flies..

Image
" Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend" - Theophrastus   Everyone starts their journey in the world as a little fragile being, susceptible to almost everything. And this small living thing, a tiny baby, doesn't know anything. They have just started a new life in this confusing new world, now into the hands of destiny, who shall be their guide throughout this tiresome journey.  Well, once upon a time, we were that little befuddled baby. Look at us now. We are still braving the eternal storms life throws our way. It has been years. We may have reached or crosses the stage of life where we begin to ponder about whether our existence is even of any use. We wonder why we are even here, even though we often don't want to. We frantically try to search the answer to this universal question.  Now ask yourself something. How long have you been trying to find the answer to this question? Most probably, you have spent a majority of your important time tryin...

Be Grateful

Often times in our life, we may feel underprivileged. We think that our own existence is of no use. Sometimes, we may even tend to think that it may have been better if we were someone else. We start to think that we were the ones who got the short end of the stick in life and blame destiny for creating us in such a way. We start to not like certain 'flaws' about ourselves and become concious about it, always wishing for these 'flaws' to go away so that we can become what we strive to be. A 'perfect' person. We go off thinking that every single person on this Earth is perfect except ourselves.  These thoughts are far from the truth. In fact, some people may see you as 'perfect' and think of themselves as flawed.  To be completely honest, everyone has flaws. But the best people accept their flaws instead of trying to change them. You should be grateful that you are the person you are right now. Because you could have had it so much worse. Life does seem t...

Untouchability- Life's Underrated Medicine

The everyday lives of humans is quite bizarre. Sometimes it seems as if we are on top of the world, while other times we think we spent our entire life just trying to stay afloat during the many setbacks of life. Usually, we try to fix any problems that come in our way because we feel that would make the situation better. But many times, the problem just becomes much more complicated. What started as a little spark turns into a flame which then results into a huge wildfire that seems to engulf our entire lives and well-being. Now that is when we start to ponder about what step should we take. Well, there's no need to think about anything. Because you don't need to take any step. Just stop where you are and try to let the problem flow on its own. Now, I'm not trying to encourage the fact to never solve life's problems. But if intervention just worsened the dilemma, then why should we intervene? Just let the situation go. If you can't fix it now despite taking so much...
